The PCS Homer Wickline and Conrad Seamen Grants

These grants are awarded annually and are designated to provide financial assistance to instrumentalists and vocalists, individuals or groups, in the classical field, who are working to further their careers or their performance opportunities. The grants may be used for travel to contests or auditions, for creation of promotional materials related to recipient-initiated performances, for assistance in renting a performance venue, for purchasing an instrument, or for meeting any other expenses directly associated with the career development of the recipient.

The PCS Homer Wickline and Conrad Seamen Grants may NOT be used for school tuition, lesson costs, or personal expenses such as clothing. Pittsburgh Concert Society Board members and members of their immediate families may NOT apply for these grants.

The grants shall be awarded annually. The number of grants and their amounts may vary from year to year. However, the minimum amount per grant shall be $500.00.

Those who wish to apply for the 2011 grants are invited to mail to the Pittsburgh Concert Society a cover letter along with any pertinent
information they deem necessary to:

• introduce themselves and/or their organization
• provide a clear and concise overview of the project to be funded, along with a proposed budget.

All documents sent to PCS in conjunction with this grant application become the property of PCS and will not be returned to the applicant.

Applications must be received by the PCS no later than April 15, 2011 at
